Dr. Marie Nuar, STD, received her S.T.D. in theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas, Rome, her S.T.L. in Missiology and M.A. in Jewish Studies from the Pontifical Gregorian University, her License in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies, and her M.A. in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Dr. Nuar’s teaching focus is the Church’s relationship with Judaism and Islam, Catholic Social Teaching, Church History, Liturgy and Ecclesiology. Her research interests revolve around the Church’s anthropological understanding and how that is lived out as well as the nature of the Church herself. Marie’s doctoral dissertation compared Islamic anthropology with Christian anthropology. After years of living in Rome, Dr. Nuar has returned to the US and currently resides in WV, a short drive from the CDU offices in the bliss of quiet small-town life.
