About Joshua Hood, PhD

Professor Hood’s language experience is broad, having studied Latin, Syriac, Coptic, Greek, classical Arabic, Biblical Hebrew and classical Armenian. Professor Hood is currently editing and translating a cycle of Syriac hymns by the East Syrian liturgical poet Giwargis Warda. He is also versed in translating works in Greek and Latin. He resides in Virginia with his wife and three children.
