About Julie Burkey, DMin
Dr. Julie V. Burkey is Director of Workplace Spirituality and Evangelization and Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, Seton Hall University, in South Orange, New Jersey. In addition to facilitating workshops and retreats, she teaches Catholic Evangelization, New Evangelization & Catechesis, and Theology of Work, all of which are all graduate level courses Dr. Burkey created.
Dr. Burkey has a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Catholic University of America, a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech &Communications from the University of Illinois. Her doctorate dissertation project was the creation of a spiritual formation program in theology/spirituality of work for parishes.
Her diverse background includes several years as a Pastoral Associate for Stewardship & Evangelization serving in the Archdiocese of Newark and over a decade as Principal of her own executive search firm specializing in making placements in the pharmaceutical industry.
