Rev. Thomas Lane, SSL, STD

Father Thomas Lane was ordained a priest in Ireland in 1990.  While in seminary in Ireland, he earned BA in Ancient Classics, and a STB in Theology. Father did his graduate Scripture study in Rome where he received a License in Sacred Scripture (SSL) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in 1992 and his doctoral degree in Theology (STD) from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1994. Father is currently Spiritual Director, Formation Advisor, and Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

In addition to his pastoral work experience, Father Lane has published numerous extracts, recorded many CD’s, co-authored course books on Sacred Scripture for the Maryvale Institute in Birmingham, UK and tutored MA and catechetical students at the Maryvale Institute, and has provided many adult education courses that studied both the Old and New Testament. For several years, Father has been maintaining his own website for the ministry of proclaiming the Gospel through prayer and study.
