About Juan Carlos Inostroza, ThD

Dr. Juan Carlos Inostroza, Faculty Member and Associate Professor of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (Concepción – Chile).

Dr. Juan Carlos Inostroza holds a doctorate from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Salamanca – Spain). An educator since 1994 and for almost three decades serving at the Metropolitan Seminar of the Archidiocese of Concepción, and at the same time, he worked as a professor of Ancient Greek and biblical Studies, and it continues to be his current job.

Professor Juan Carlos Inostroza is the author of the book Moisés e Israel en el Desierto. El. Midrás paulino de 1Cor 10, 1-13, and several books in collaboration and many papers about Philo of Alexandria and Qumram, Gnosticism and the Coptic Gospel of Thomas, also about Moses in Second Corinthians, Moses in Romans, Moses in John’s Gospel. Several of that papers were presented at the SNTS Latin-American Committee.

Dr. Juan Carlos Inostroza has served as a guest of several exegetical and biblical Diploma Programs. The most recent of them is his online class cycle about Biblical Rhetorical Criticism October – November 2023. Currently he is also head of the undergraduate program at UCSC.

BA (Interdisciplinary Studies – Theology and Philosophy) Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Salamanca – Spain). Also Philological Studies: Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. Canonical degree in Biblical Theology at Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Salamanca – Spain).
Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Salamanca – Spain).
